FAQs

  • At Chasing Vanity, we apply topical numbing gel to the area being treated. This makes the treatment very tolerable and pain-free. Immediately after the treatment, the skin typically feels tight and like it has a slight sunburn, though this will subside within a few hours to a day if after-care instructions are followed carefully.

  • Usually redness and possible swelling are seen for about 24-48 hours depending on intensity of treatment. By the 3rd or 4th day after treatment, the redness should be gone but may be replaced by slight flakiness from the resurfacing of the skin. By day 5, your skin will be glowing and back to normal!

  • The treatment can be adapted for sensitive skin types with appropriate adjustments to needle depth and treatment intensity. Our numbing cream can also help minimize discomfort.

  • Everyone's skin is different so the number of treatments may vary from person to person. Typically, at least 3 treatments are recommended to see the benefits. We recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our expert aestheticians to create a customized treatment plan that is right for you.
